ASSESSSMENT AND PROMOTION
Learners will be assessed internally according to the requirements as specified in the policy document – National Protocol for Assessment Grade R - 12 and National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements of the required subjects. School-Based Assessment (SBA) is a compulsory component of the promotion marks. The SBA assessment component must be 75% (marks achieved for term 1,2 and 3) and the final examination component 25% (marks achieved for term 4) of the promotion mark. It is important to note that weak performance during the first three terms may result in a learner not being promoted.
